Installing the artificial grass
Clay and Steph had two areas needing work, one in their backyard and the other surrounding the pool which were permanently used by their large dog (who was a digger). Both areas were consumed with small trees and shrubs enclosing the space and creating lots of maintenance with patchy and discolored natural turf causing drainage issues. Our clients wanted to have more space, no leaves in the pool and a safe space for their new baby. There was also a request to have this job completed before the baby arrived.
Artificial Turf Solution
The solution was to remove all shrubs and trees and re-level the area. A retaining wall was installed to maintain access for pool equipment and service pipes. A concrete perimeter was also created to adhere the artificial grass to, doing this ensured the dogs could not lift or damage the grass.
Completing the artificial turf installation
We installed 135m2 of 40mm artificial turf due to its natural looking properties, making the areas appear larger, softer to walk on and lighter in color. Successfully installing two drainage pits into existing stormwater ensured that any rain would not sit on site, like it did before.
