Artificial Turf Installation in Bribie Island

Artificial Turf Installation for Outdoor Entertaining in Bribie Island

This artificial turf installation project in Bribie Island, Queensland involved upgrading a high traffic outdoor area between the alfresco space and swimming pool at a residential property. The existing sandy conditions and intense heat made it difficult for natural grass to grow, leaving the space underused despite frequent family gatherings.

Ecovia Turf was engaged to transform the area into a practical and comfortable outdoor surface. The finished installation using EcoAbode 30mm artificial turf now provides a cooler, durable and low maintenance lawn area that integrates seamlessly with the pool and entertaining space.

Project Brief and Site Challenges

Sue contacted Ecovia Turf to improve the usability of an outdoor space at her Bribie Island home, located between the alfresco area and the swimming pool.

The site consisted of sandy soil conditions, which made it difficult for natural turf to establish and maintain a healthy lawn. Combined with the heat exposure in the area, the space struggled to support grass growth and remained largely unused.

The goal of the project was to create a clean, durable and low maintenance surface that would allow the family to make better use of the outdoor entertaining area.

Artificial Turf Installation and Site Preparation Solution

Ecovia Turf began by removing the existing surface material and preparing the site for the new installation. The base was rebuilt to provide improved stability and drainage, ensuring the new lawn area would perform reliably over time.

Paved edging was installed to clearly define the space and create a neat transition between the artificial turf and surrounding landscaping.

Once the groundwork was complete, the team installed 50m² of EcoAbode 30mm artificial turf, providing a soft and durable surface suited to high traffic family areas.

The finished result is a cooler and more functional outdoor space, allowing the family to comfortably use the area between the pool and alfresco zone for everyday entertaining.

With extensive experience installing artificial turf across Brisbane and surrounding coastal regions, Ecovia Turf was able to deliver a solution tailored to the site conditions.
