Building a retaining wall and laying artificial grass and natural grass
The clients, a family in Rochedale South with one child and a dog, required a functional and safe outdoor space for their family to play and entertain. They faced challenges with a sloping block, poor drainage, and rocky ground. Excessive water from neighboring properties was causing erosion and flooding issues, as there was no retaining wall or drainage in place. The family needed a flat, usable space that would cater to their active lifestyle and be durable for both their child and dog.
Retaining Wall Solution
As we hold a QBCC license, Ecovia Turf were able to provide a complete landscape solution to transform the sloping, waterlogged block into a flat, usable area. We installed a 60 lineal meter concrete sleeper retaining wall to stabilize the land and manage water runoff. In addition, we implemented drainage systems to prevent future water damage.
Natural Turf Laying in Rochedale
The yard was divided into functional spaces, including 100m² of concrete for walkways, 180m² of natural turf, and 80m² of our environmentally friendly 30mm artificial turf, ideal for low-maintenance play areas. We also installed fencing and gates to ensure a secure environment for the family and dog.
Scope of works
Constructed 60m of 800mm high concrete sleeper wall for water flow control and block stabilization.
Installed a system to protect against water runoff from neighboring properties.
Laid 100m² of concrete for driveway and parking areas.
Installed secure fencing and gates, creating a safe area for children and pets.
Turf Installation:
Laid 180m² of natural turf and 80m² of EcoLife 30mm artificial turf, blending natural beauty with low-maintenance play areas.
