Installing the Artificial Turf in Scarborough

Emily and Cameron enlisted the work of Ecovia Turf to turn a small, patchy area down the side of their home to a functional space for their two dogs and growing family. The landscaping upgrade also connected to the backyard to meet up with the pool area. Originally this area was ruined by the dogs digging, overgrown and uneven, challenging to mainintain and limited the homeowners’ ability to fully enjoy their new pool and alfresco space.

Artificial Grass Solution

After conducting a thorough site analysis it was clear that there were drainage issues that were leading to flooding and water pooling. The installation of drainage systems on the project allowed us to level the base towards this area, fixing this problem first and foremost. An additional step was to stabalise the base further using cement to ensure the base remains durable over time. An additional problem that had to be rectified was the requirement for the turf to be secured around the perimeter to prevent the dogs from damaging or lifting the turf. A strong concrete edge was laid which our turf was then glued to, which prevents any parts being lifted.

Completing the artificial grass installation project

To enhance this area we installed 75m2 of 35mm artificial turf as the darker blade complimented the surrounding existing landscaping as well as the new pool and alfresco area. This project utalized eco-friendly landscaping practices to conserve water, reduce maintenance needs and promote a healthy and enjoyable environment for this family.
