Installing the Retaining Walls

Our clients Brian and Julie had a well-lived, family backyard which was in need of improvements to the pool and entertainment areas. Currently, the yard had a dilapidated fence, a buckling retaining wall and was an underutilised space. The existing timber fence and retaining wall was unsafe, rotting and outdated. The task at hand was to create an inviting and aesthetically pleasing landscape that catered to outdoor activities, privacy, security and family entertainment.

Retaining Wall Solution

Our solution for this area was to remove and recycle the existing timber fence and replace it with 50 lineal metres of Colorbond fencing. We removed the damaged retaining wall, levelled the area, excavated new, deeper holes and rebuilt the retaining wall using steel posts with concrete sleepers.
During this project Ecovia Turf were approached by the surrounding neighbours who shared the fence and retaining wall with Brian and Julies’ property. We were then engaged to complete similar works to the neighbouring properties which led to a total of 135 lineal metres of retaining wall and fencing being constructed along with concreting, landscaping and natural grass installation. The Colorbond fence added a modern, sophisticated look to not only one property, but five. The new fence also ensured a higher level of security, low maintenance and durability. Ecovia Turf was proud to be able to help such a large group on the one project in the local area.
