Project Brief and Site Conditions
Greg engaged Ecovia Turf to upgrade the outdoor areas of his premium property in Bulimba, focusing on both the front yard and the adjoining nature strip.
The existing lawn was extremely thick and difficult to manage, making regular mowing and maintenance impractical. Over time this had begun to detract from the overall presentation of the property.
The objective of the project was to create a clean, well-defined and low-maintenance landscape frontage that would complement the quality of the home while providing a durable surface suitable for everyday use and long-term performance.
Artificial Turf Installation and Site Preparation Solution
Ecovia Turf carried out extensive site preparation and base construction works to ensure the new artificial turf installation would perform reliably over the long term.
An excavator was used to remove approximately 200 mm of existing lawn and soil, allowing the team to properly prepare the base and eliminate the issues caused by the thick existing grass layer. Road base was then imported and compacted to create a stable foundation for the new surface.
Paved edging and drainage were installed to clearly define the landscaped areas and manage water flow across the site. Once the groundwork was complete, the team installed 120 m² of EcoAbode 30 mm artificial turf across the front yard, nature strip and pathway areas.
The finished result delivers a tidy, low-maintenance artificial lawn that enhances the street appeal of the Bulimba property while providing a practical and durable outdoor surface.
